A Campaign to Support The Ministry of Camp Tamarack
How
many times has that chorus been sung around a campfire at Camp Tamarack
since its inception in 1958? Countless times, no doubt.
At Camp Tamarack hundreds of life-changing decisions are made, prayers are expressed and answered, young disciples make great strides in their faith journey, and leaders-young and old-give their best to children, youth and adults who gather there.
This campaign supports the evangelism, discipleship and leadership development ministry of Camp Tamarack by replacing, updating and renovating the facilities. Our goal is to "pass it on" to the next generation and proper facilities are needed.
The needs include:
Phase One:
Youth Center (showers/canteen/gathering space/lodging) - Completed, Dedicated June 19, 2004
Replacement of the administration building that has well and mold problems for which the health department gave notice.
Maintenance Barn - Completed, Inside Shop constructed winter 2004-2005
Replacement of the current barn that has roof leaks and structural problems.
Campaign Expenses - Paid, amounted to 2.4% of the campaign total
Phase One Total $475,000.00
Phase Two:
John Gray Lodge Renovation - First Floor Restroom constructed winter 2004--2005; first floor windows in John Gray Lodge have been replaced.
First Floor John Gray Lodge renovation completed. (2006)
Lower Level John Gray Lodge renovation begun (2006)
Winterization of the lodge and renovation of the lower level for guest housing, making the kitchen usable year around.
Cabin Renovation Completed: - Cabin 2 and Cornelius Leadership Cabin (former nurse quarters), Cabins 1, 3, 4 renovated in 2005
Cabins 2,3,4 renovations completed. (2006)
Cabin 6 renovation begun (2006 )
Waterfront Storage Building
Phase Two Total $175,000.00
Phase Three:
Basile Retreat Center Renovation, Campground development
Update Vehicles & Equipment - Pickup, Laptop Computer and used tractor
Endowment Fund - Initially funded with $50,000
Phase Three Total $200,000.00
