The Grounds
|
|
The grounds at Camp Tamarack
encompass over 200 acres and border on two of the Waupaca area's
famous Chain O' Lakes. The grounds encompass outdoor facilities
and shelters as well as three campfire circles, and also include
substantial lakefront access.
There is a waterfront swimming
area with piers and raft. There are canoes and rowboats with equipment
and a separate pier for their launch and recovery.
|
For an outdoor wedding
or worship service, the vespers area shown to the right is rustic
and beautiful, overlooking the lake and built on a natural incline
in the woods.
|
|
 |
For a picnic or outdoor gathering, the shelter
shown is ideal for protection from rain or intense sun without having
to retreat to the indoors.
|
For a night under the
stars without all of the mosquitoes, or just a picnic for a small
group, there are two Hogans available for use, as seen on the
right.

Camp Tamarack isn't just
for summer use anymore
Experience the peace
and comfort of our winter surroundings. The Tamarack Lodge
and Meeting Center along with the Basile Retreat Center make ideal
facilities for Winter retreats, gatherings, meetings, etc.
We have space for 60 to 70 persons or two groups at one time.
So, if your family gathering has grown too big for grandmas
house, your church needs to get away from the phone for planning
or fellowship, etc. Our facilities are limited only by your
imagination.
The Hyde Unit is also
available for one to three persons as a motel style room.
